Blackjack Game Rules

Blackjack is the casino game that most players want to try whether in person or online. Blackjack is pretty simple as far as casino games go, although it does require a small amount of skill on behalf of the player to recognize the strength of their hand and decide on their next move. But before we start talking about the skill, let's start right from the beginning so you get a grasp of how to play the game right from the second you walk into the online casino or join a Blackjack table at a casino online.
Blackjack can be played with as few as 2 players; the dealer and one other opponent who's ready for some competition! If gambling during a Blackjack game, wagers need to be placed before each hand is dealt, and in this game, players win their share of the pot when they beat the dealer. The goal of Blackjack is to have a hand closest to 21 without going over. Initially, both the players and the dealer will be dealt 2 cards - if a player has a total of 21, meaning a face card or ten card and an ace, then they automatically win unless their opponent also has an equal hand. After players have received their first 2 cards, if no one has 21 they can choose to keep the cards they have ("stick") or receive another card ("hit"). There's no hard and fast rule on when to hit or when to stick, but it's reasonable to say that if your first 2 cards total 10 and under, then you should get another card from the dealer. But if your hand is around 14 or 15 it's up to you to decide whether it's more worthwhile to risk going bust or risk that the dealer is going to have a higher hand. The game progresses until all players at the table have decided that they're satisfied with their cards. Once everyone at the Blackjack table chooses to stick, then everyone shows their cards and the winner is declared!
Blackjack is a more simple game if you're looking to play a game of cards that involves some level of strategy. With this game, you can actually play a role in whether you win or lose, since it's up to you to determine whether you want to add additional cards to your hand or not. Although let's face it, in the end it is primarily up to chance if you choose to take a hit on your hand, because you never know what card you're going to be dealt!
